Four Life Changing Beauty Products

Please don’t ever let these products get discontinued…

In the land of beauty blogs you often hear girls talking about their “ride or dies”, “dessert island picks” or “Holy Grails”. Ultimately, they are talking about the beauty products they absolutely cannot live without. I don’t think I am quite Four Life Changing Beauty Productsready to come up with a list of my dessert island picks, but I can say with certainty that the four beauty products listed below totally changed my beauty life when I started using them. I have purchased each of these products over and over again and probably will for life. Of course now that I said that, I’m sure one will get discontinued and I will be depressed for weeks… but let’s focus on the now. Do you have any products that changed your beauty life? What are they??

1. Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream

I’ve mentioned this one before and probably will until the end of time. It. Is. Awesome. Before finding this bad boy I was using drug store eye creams that were doing nothing to stave off fine lines. While I no longer use this product every single night, I do find myself grabbing for it several times a week. It is SO hydrating and really helps my under eye look youthful and awake. I don’t think it does wonders to treat wrinkles that are already there, I have other products for that, I do think it does a phenomenal job of making sure further wrinkles don’t pop up. I use this guy day and night and I especially love it during the winter months.

2. Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peel

This is another one I have mentioned before and yes, I will mention it again I am sure. There are two versions of this product — Original and Extra Strength. Personally, I have always used the Extra Strength. Not because I feel like I’ve got “extra” issues but just because I figure…why the hell not? I have major paranoia when it comes to prematurely aging so when I discovered this product a few years back, I almost cried when I saw the results. After a few swipes of these pre-soaked cloths during my “acid/chemical exfoliator” step of my routine, my skin was soft, smooth, and glowing.  These towelettes are perfect for stubborn skin conditions that for whatever reason haven’t responded to other antiaging treatments. This peel improves the appearance of fine lines, reduces pores, and treats breakouts and if you use them regularly you will defintely see an improvement with any dark spots. The little packets are also super travel friendly so when I am headed on a vacation, I always throw a few of these in my bag for the trip.

Tip: Make sure to swipe these on your neck, decollete and hands too for added anti aging benefits all around.

3. Biologique Recherche P50 Lotion

I hate this phrase but…. I can’t even. I don’t even want to tell you guys about this product because I am deathly afraid of it selling out. I may need to purchase a few bottles before this post goes up. Anyway. I can’t even. I found out about P50 from my favorite blogger, Caroline Hirons. She, too, swears by this product. I use P50, like the Alpha Beta Peel, during my “acid/chemical exfoliator” step of my skincare routine. I pour a small amount onto a cotton round and I dab it all over my face, neck, and decollete. The results are….well, I can’t even. Never have I ever gasped after trying a beauty product until I tried P50. My skin was so bright, so soft, and so beautiful. Caroline Hirons says, “Applied morning and evening the P50 gently exfoliates, regulates excessive sebum secretion, moisturizes and helps maintain the epidermis’ acid PH.” She also said that this is a great product to help prep your skin for serum/moisturizers. The first few times I used these there was a little stinging but nothing painful, no worries!

This is a hard to get product (click the product name to purchase above). I can only find one site in America that sells it. I personally buy the Original formula which contains Phenol as I find it to the be the most effective version, however, if you live outside of the USA, this might not be an option for you. In that case, go ahead and buy the P50 (no phenol) option. They one labeled P50V is for sensitive skin and P50W is for drier and more mature skin.

How I use this — well, I mentioned above that I use this during my “acid/chemical exfoliator” step but I do not use it morning and night every single day. This is more because I have other products that I can rotate in so I don’t go through the bottle too quickly. I probably use this product 4-6 times a week. When I don’t use this, I will use another “toner/acid exfoliator” in its place.

4. Make Up For Ever Sens’Eyes

This is the BEST eye makeup remover of LIFE. While I tend to use cleansing balms to remove all of my makeup, there are a few days a month where I cake on water proof eye makeup and even my tried and true cleansing balms won’t do… what they can’t, this product does! It feels like a lightweight lotion but it literally demolishes eye makeup. In my party girl days, this was definitely a ride or die product for me and I know some of my friends feel the same way. It is gentle and doesn’t sting the eyes but it is so the most effective eye makeup remover out there. I highly recommend this if you’re as into water proof eye products as I am. I also use this product to fix overdrawn eye liner — just pop it on a Q-tip and wipe away the mistake. Done. Also, Sens’Eyes lasts FOREVER. I probably only buy one bottle every 12-18 months or so.
