Affordable High End Makeup // Glambot

I have been trying SO hard to spend less money on makeup. It is REALLY hard for me because I love me some high end makeup, but I have to be honest with myself….every $40 Sephora order really adds up over time. At the rate I’m going, I’ll be VIB Rouge for LIFE!!! In addition to trying to be a bit more frugal, I have also been trying to declutter my house. You know that rule, “For every item you add to your house you need to get rid of one item”? Yeah, I’ve been trying that too……not with much success. It’s more like buy 10 things and get rid of one, but whatever. Don’t judge me. Anyway, bottom line is, I’m trying to “adult” and in my quest to find a way to have fun/expensive makeup and also declutter, I came across a really cool website called Glambot.

Glambot buys pre-owned makeup, sanitizes the shit out of it, and then sells it on their site at a discounted price (psst…some items are more discounted than others depending on use and amount of product). Some of you might think that’s gross, but I think it’s super awesome. I literally NEVER use up an entire foundation, so why in the world would I not buy a half full one at a discount?! Also, many of their products have never ever been used!!! What I love about this site is not only can I buy makeup there, but I can also send them a ton of my unused or hardly used makeup and they will pay me for it. A few months ago I sent them like 50 items and took a cash payout of over $250 ( I took Cash but you can get 30% more $$ if you take a store credit). Bottom line, Glambot makes it easy to get rid of some products I’m not using  and I can also buy stuff I want at a cheaper price. It’s totally win win.

**For those of you wondering about the sanitizing process, it depends on the product. Glambot DOES NOT buy used lip glosses for example, even if they were just swatched, because germs can fester in the tubes of product. For powder products, they sanitize them with some solution and then scratch off the top layer of product to ensure that it’s fresh for it’s new owner.

Here are some great deals I’ve been seeing lately on their site. Below each picture I’ll tell you what Glambot is selling the item for and then what it retails for at Sephora or Ulta. The savings can be major. Give me alllll the monies.
